Lab49 presented the largest and most ambitious RIA in Financial Services to date at Adobe MAX 2009, the annual global Adobe conference. In his presentation, "Building Matrix: Scaling Flex for a Large Trading Application," Lab49’s Managing Consultant Børre Wessel discussed the development of Morgan Stanley’s new trading platform, Morgan Stanley Matrix, featuring data visualization, real-time streaming, rich-media publishing, collaboration and workflow components. Børre discussed the practices that made Morgan Stanley Matrix possible and focused on aspects such as scalability, modularization, dependency management and performance tuning. |

In the "Overcome Scalability Limits in High-Performance Computing Using New Distributed Cache Products with Integrated Grid Computing" session, Marc Jacobs presented results from a recent performance whitepaper, co-authored by ScaleOut Software and Lab49, that demonstrates the benefits of applying ScaleOut Software's StateServer Grid Computing Edition to a custom backtesting platform for automated equities trading strategies in computational finance. In the "Agile Development using Low-Fidelity Prototypes, Expression Blend and SketchFlow: A Case Study" session, Marc Jacobs presented how SketchFlow can be used to develop totally innovative new user experiences, and how Microsoft Expression Blend will bring a whole new level of sophistication and ease to the process of designing new user experiences. Finally, in the "Patterns and practices: composite development for WPF and Silverlight using Composite Application Guidance (a.k.a. Prism 2.0)", Daniel Simon presented how Prism 2.0 provides patterns, libraries and tools to enable collaborative development best practices among teams. |

Streambase System's booth (#177) will show an Electronic Crossing Network (ECN) developed with StreamBase Studio along with a WPF visualization developed by Lab49.
